Jean-Yves Chérot is a professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Aix-Marseille.

He teaches mainly the philosophy of law in license, in Master and as a visiting professor in various universities. He is responsible for the law theory specialty of the Private Law and Public Law Masters in the Faculty of Law and Director of the Law Theory Laboratory.
