Benoit Frydman JD, PhD, LLM is the president of the Perelman’s Centre for Legal Philosophy. He is professor at the University of Brussels Law School and affiliated professor at Sciences Po Paris. He also teaches at the Goethe University in Frankfurt in the European LLM in Legal Theory.

Benoit Frydman is a member of the Royal Academy of Belgium and vice-president of the European Academy of Legal Theory. He is a former Member of the Superior Council of Justice (Belgium). He co-chaired the Commission for the Reform of the jury system.

Benoit Frydman teaches philosophy of law and legal theory, legal argumentation and interpretation, global law and corporate social responsibility.

His works focus on the study of global law and the transformations of contemporary law. He also conducts studies on the evolution of the administration of justice and the judiciary generally, legal argumentation and interpretation, as well as on the history of legal thought. Most of his books and papers are available on this website.
