The G3 has just renewed its trust in the « Réseau d’excellence du droit global » (Network of Excellence for the Study of Global Law) orchestrated by Professors Karim Benyekhlef (CRDP), Benoît Frydman and Gregory Lewkowicz (Université libre de Bruxelles) and Nicolas Levrat (University of Geneva) by providing financial support for 2016/2017. Congratulations.
Globalization has given rise to a transformation in the perspectives of most social sciences, often referred to as « global turning point ». It is only recently, however, that the legal world has become fully aware of the challenges posed by globalization to both teaching and legal science and the regulation and practice of law. The global shift in the science of law is now underway and can be seen in the multiplication of initiatives devoted to « global law ». Competing theories are developing to account for the emergence of a global right. A growing number of research and teaching programs or journals are especially dedicated to it. This project aims to bring together expertise by creating a Francophone center of excellence in the field of global law, to ensure its visibility through an online journal, the organization of a conference and the development of new projects. The project will continue for several years.
